I had kind of envisioned taking him to Lake Tahoe for one of the half day trips. I like the idea of one of these trips where they provide the tackle, and take you out. He’s had almost no experience fishing. I don’t mind spending some money, but I would like to get good value for it. Maybe someone knows an area a little less traveled than Lake Tahoe. Thanks for your time.
What pound test should I use when fishing for sharks at night in the Gulf of Mexico? Should I use braided line? How do you rig up for shark fishing?
Thanks for all the help,

I’m a student and I’m not even sure if I’ll like it, so I can’t imagine spending $1000 dollars on equipment just to try it once. How do people try ice fishing for the first time? I live in Boston but I’m willing to drive.
How do dolphins die by fishing nets? How do they get caught in them?
I just bought my first flyfishing rod and reel, now I’m trying to get it set it up. Can I simply use braided or superbraided regular fishing line for my backing or do I have to use a backing-specific type of line?
