Want to trade hunts. Preferably a hog hunt with dogs, somewhere fairly close to Southern Oregon. I can offer..

I have a pack of hounds that catches anything I put them on. We mostly chase bobcats and coons. I archery hunt blacktail and mule deer, rosevelt elk, black bears, and rio grand turkeys. I have some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing you can find anywhere. I have limited private access but mostly hunt public land. None of these are guarnteed and I am not a licensed guide. I personally love the hound hunting it is always an adventure. This is what I would recomend we do in my area. I am open to anything however. I am a very successfull hunter and fisherman. I have all required gear and knowledge to insure a safe and comfortable hunt of any kind. If you do want to hound hunt you better be in shape because it is physically demanding. I don’t have a huge house or tons of money but we can figure out the details as we go. My wife expressed interest in hog hunting and naturally we don’t have hogs. So that is my hunt of choice. If you are interested answer question and email me direct.

How would a hunter be able to hunt an endangered species?

I went to a sportsman’s show and there were stuffed bodies endangered, at least I think they, species. They were hunted and there were photos of the hunters with their catch. Things like Zebras, Lions, Chetahs, Leopards, Hippos and others from Africa. Is there a special area where you can go to hunt these animals after buying the tag for them or can anyone buy the tag for these animals like polar bear hunting. You buy the tag and go with a guide, that’s how it works with the Polar bear which I believe to be endangered as well but for $5000 you can kill one. So how would this work, I am just curious I would never kill an endangered species, in fact aside from fishing I would never kill an animal.

What is the best tacklebox?

My boyfriend wants a nice tackle box for Christmas. Price isn’t a concern but it has to have the following:
Separate slots for plugs, lures, hooks, etc.
Waterproof (which is the hardest thing to find)
Corrosion resistance (used for saltwater fishing in gulf)
Preferably have individual boxes so he doesn’t have to lug the whole thing around if he is going to the front of the boat.
Envelope/bags for softbait
Yet compact enough to fit under the console.

Any suggestions? He’s not a guide but acts like one, lol. Something nice yet efficient.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

what to bring up north?

I am going to norther wisconsin with my mom to Poupart Lake. My mom’s friend’s family has cabins on the lake. It is in the Lac De Flambeau area in Vilas county. I love fishing and plan to do a lot of it, but my mom sais I can only bring three poles. I am going to be only bass fishing (large mouth and smallmouths).

Of these 4 set ups which three should I bring?

what site could a novice angler get the best local information from?

Excuse the pun, but I am totally hooked on fishing!
I’m a female who has been fishing on her own for a year and literally picking things up through trial and error and a few books.
I live near Bournemouth, Dorset and like to fish the River Avon and Wareham and Beaulieu rivers.
Pike and (hey, come back you coward!) Eeels! are a favourite so far but I would like to branch out. Lake and carp don’t really appeal so far.
I’ve caught a red mullet, roach, dace ect.
Thing is, my knowledge is very basic and to be honest I have had to carry a fish identification book with me but I so want to learn more. I even wake up thinking of fishing!
I have found being a very inexperienced female has brought on unwanted attention from fellow anglers.
Problem is, I can’t seem to find a good concise finshing info guide on the internet. I seem to spend hours trawling seasons, bait, methods etc from one site to the next. So I guess my question is, where can I find local (dorset) info and could anyone recommend someone who would be prepared to give pike fishing lessons please without treating me like a silly woman?

Edible Fish Species (Carribean/Mexico)?

I’m renting a house in Mexico that is on the shore (Gulf side, Caribbean) and I’d love to do some fishing and serve fresh fish to my guests. The problem is that I’m not sure which taste good and if there are any that arent edible for whatever reason (too many bones, poisonous, etc). If anyone could point me to an online guide or book I’d appreciate it.

Catfish anyone?

I am visiting New Orleans and trying to find a catfishing guide. All I can find are salt water guides for other fish. Anyone from New Orleans know where I can go catfishing or of a web-site with the information I need. Anything would be appreciated.
