How Do You Enter Bigger Fishing Tournaments With Bigger Prizes?
I want to know how to get into bigger tournaments with bigger $ prizes involved. I have been fishing for fun for years, but i want to know how to get into bigger tournaments. If you know any good sites please write them down, too. Thanks!

To get into the big $$ tourneys, you have to pay big $$. Try going to the FLW website. They have the tour schedule on that site. Also try the B.A.S.S. website, they have listings as well. It’s like the girl above me said, you really have to research it yourself. There are so incredibly many different tourney out there, you just have to find some that you can afford, and can get to. The tournament trail is an expensive one, so unless your rich, or are very resourceful, you really have to work your way up from the bottom. The bottom being a start at a local fishing club. Fish those tourneys untill you can put together a good resume of your winnings. Then try to get some smaller sponsers. Just remember that you have to help them out, like they help you. After you are ready, you can move up on the tourneyment scale. I don’t know of any pros who made it to the top the easy way. They all had to put their time in, and work up the “boarding” ladder. Try this link, for more thourough info on tourney fishing. Tight lines, and maybe I’ll see you at the top.
People can suggest a multitude of sites for you to check, but if you do your own research, you will find a site that fits your requirements. You will be able to glide past undesirable contests,i.e. World’s Biggest Minnow, by doing a self-search.
you sign up for them
Bass fisherman hit it pretty much on the head of the nail he’s already got the best answere. good luck, the tourneys are getting more expensive but if you have a decent job and use your head you can move up to eventually a pro it takes alot of work and alot of time on the water. keep catching the big ones.
Bass Fisherman is all over it…. I started out fishing a few small tournaments…. with little or no entry fees… small prizes or purses… usually $500 or less. Then I joined BASS and ABA… yeah the tournaments cost me a few bucks, but I’ve won a few second and third places as well. I don’t plan on making a living fishing tournaments… but do plan to continue to build my own lures and maybe one day…. one of them will win a big tournament!!
