How Much Will It Cost For A Fishing Trip Around Mactan Island, Philippines?
My husband and I are planning a trip there next month, any tips for us to charter a boat that will take us fishing and snorkelling and island hopping, but don’t have to share with others? Cost is one of our concerns but safety and reliability of the boatman is very very important too.

To be honest pricing will vary on type and size of boat. For instance if you want a sport fishing charter it will be about 40-50 per hour for one of the better ones. A all day charter for your group will range about $175.00 Any of the decent hotels can give you names of sight seeing or fishing charters. One guy if still there runs about a 26 foot boat with triple outboards in Cebu I think they where called bluesky sport fishing.
If you don’t want to share with others and money IS an object, then you won’t likely have a very reliable boat or good boatman.
If you are willing to lay out a couple hundred dollars, you might get what you want, but remember, most things are higher here, not lower as you may have heard as it is a tourist trap.
True, most rent and utilities are less expensive, but most other things are as high as or higher here than in the States.
we rented a boat just to take us to another island and we paid 1000 peso i think so its like $25. maybe $100 is good enough
