Is There A Minimum Fishing Skill Required To Catch The Sea Turtle Mount In World Of Warcraft?
I’ve been fishing in the frozen sea southeast of Borean Tundra for about 7 hours and still haven’t gotten the drop. I was wondering if you need to have a certain fishing skill in order to even catch the thing.

I fished every school around the entire continent and finally got it after about 14 hours. 7 hours for such a rare spawn is nothing. I do have maxed fishing – but I think that just increased my chances. I know someone who has fished it out of each coastal zone so keep moving around. It’s a vary rare and random drop.
If I remember correctly its a random catch from the pools of Northrend. Like all the random stuff some people will catch on cast 1 (lucky bastards) others on cast 99999999999999999999. As far as I know there isn’t really a minimum, but having skill high enough to not catch the junk from the schools of fish would help.
haven’t looked it up lately, but elsanglin.com should have more specific details.
No. “All pools can be fished effectively with fishing skill 1.”
The website listed in sources has a ton of information regarding fishing, including rare fish, pets and the fishing tournament.
It seems random to me.
Nah its random, just camp out for a while, great way to raise fishing skills
