What Are The Best Conditions For Fishing?
I want to know what are the best possible fishing conditions, time moon bait, for small ponds in northern maine?
I have led/colored trolling line, a fly fishing pole, and bobber/worms

Just go when you have the opportunity. All the other- moon phases, solar tables, position of moon,etc, all fall under the heading of myth and folklore. The one thing that does affect the fishing is local weather patterns.The fish seem to bite best when the barometer is falling ahead of a front moving in.The fishing is good even on the day the front hits, but after it’s passage and there is not a cloud in the sky (blue bird day) the fishing is terrible for for the next few days. But the effect of the front is much more pronounced in the winter then the summer.
you are going to need a few more items to get fish. Your lead core line is not usable in a fly reel and not too easy to cast even on a conventional reel. You need better list of equipment or best times, baits, lures nothing will work. You sound young get a job cleaning out garages of your neighbors in trade for their fishing equipment. you need a good castable spinning rod to get some distance from shore with your casts, you need new good monofiliment line like trilene, stren or ande. You need hooks, sinkers and a basic knowledge of what, where, when and why (you are the who). Go to the library and check out a book about fishing the kind of fish in your nearby lakes. Grab the chance to be good at fishing and earn the confidence that only comes from experience, knowledge and practice. Different fish are more actively feeding at different times. Some fish feed all the time full moon or new moon. It’s easy to be the best but the price is the only D’s allowed in school. Dedication, determination and desire.
